He is on leave of absence from Harvard where he was concentrating in Computer Science. He grew up in Hanover, NH, where he attended Hanover High School. Axel researched computer security at Dartmouth, where he published papers on network anomaly detection and smart fuzzing. In the summer of 2010, he was a software engineering intern at Google, where he worked on Chrome OS.
